VETBOAT is operated on donation and contributions from local companies and individuals. We have operated from private and donated funding since our inception in 1999 and now are in need of funding. Our goals are to acquire a larger boat that is suitable for Alaska’s inside waters with a stable platform for our veterans with equilibrium problems and confined to walkers or wheelchairs. Vetboat is trying to raise enough capital to purchase a 55’ catamaran with a 23’ wide base. The catamaran is well suited for the inside waters of Southeast Alaska and would make it possible for us to travel from Yakutat to Metlakatla.
We thank those groups and companies who have donated funds, equipment, or moorage and the many individuals here in the southeast and from other parts of the country for their assistance.

Radio Shack- Nugget Mall, DeHart’s Marina, Auke Bay Harbors, Hoonah Harbor, Western Auto, Domino’s Pizza, Hearthside Books, Nugget Alaskan Outfitters, Safeway, SuperBear and A & P groceries. State of Alaska Disabled American Veterans, Juneau Chapter 4 Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 3 Disabled American Veterans, Bullwinkle’s, Alaska Ship Chandlers, Coca Cola Co, Pepsi Co, Moose Lodge 700, and U.S. Coast Guard Women’s Association Juneau. We have received monetary donation from the VFW, American Legion, Sons of the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge of Fairbanks and numerous individual donors who have asked to remain anonymous.
The veterans in our country are the reason we all have the freedoms that we enjoy today. Now our veterans need your help so that they can enjoy the freedoms that they fought so hard for.
All donations are tax deductible, VETBOAT is a non-profit organization. We are seeking your help and assistance with funding.
